I am suffering from eye watering and facing a lot of problem in the sunlight. Can you please suggest an alternative to Clearine eye drops?Last Updated - Fri, Mar 16 2018
I have been suffering from Eye Watering problem from the last seven years. I earlier consulted for Eye Allergy (redness and itching problem). Now redness and itching problem have been resolved. But still I face problem in the sunlight, however I have some relief after the first consultation. I am taking those medicines at daily bases.
Also, one problem that I am facing is in finding the Clearine Eye Drops from the local medical stores. It is not easily available and they are saying that its delivery has been stopped from the company side. Previously I had managed to take from one of the local store after wasting so much of time in searching. I have checked it online also but it is not available there too.
- My question is what am I suffering from?
- How can I get a permanent treatment?
- Is there any way to replace the Clearine Eye Drops with any other alternative one?
I will attach the prescription slip in a separate e-mail. Please help me

First let me explain in brief about Allergic Rhinitis. It is a diagnosis which is associated with a group of symptoms affecting the nose and the eyes. These symptoms occur when you breathe in something that you are allergic to like - dust, animal dander, mold, or pollen. Symptoms can also occur when you eat a food that you are allergic to. Some common symptoms are:
- Watery eyes
- Running nose
- Puffiness under the eyes
- Itchiness in the eyes and nose
- Sore throat
This is the reason you have all the signs and symptoms you describe. As we consulted before, you can take the same precautions advised, to avoid sun exposure.
Consult again if you face any other doubts or problems. Continue tablet as advised. I cannot know where else you will be able to find the medicines prescribed, but if you do not find it, you can also try to purchase Clearine eye drops online or else you can use following nasal drops:
Otrivin Nasal drops - one drop in each nostril in the morning before exposing yourself to sun daily for one month.
